"WAIT...YOU REWROTE THE ENTIRE SCRIPT DURING PRODUCTION" Why "Batman : The War is Lost" release date was postponed!
If you know anything about us as at The Distant Worlds films you know we like to plan ahead, that's why when you walk on our film sets you see films planned out from chapter one all the way to chapter 2 with someone else secretly assigned to take care of chapter 3. Each chapter in the distant world universe will contain approximately 5 or more movies and/or web series.
Some people see it as excessive but I for one love it because I can never get enough of DC Comics and knowing that we have more films planned as time goes on it keeps me amped up and I think it keeps the character actors amped up as well knowing that they have more work to look forward to.
We begun filming "Batman: The War Is Lost" back on November 26th, 2022. It served as a direct sequel to our 2021 debut
Justice League: TaskForce, catching up everyone on what happened since The JLA left to defeat Batman X & Felix Faust at the end of the first film. Coincidentally as we started filming the initial script for The Batman starring follow-up we realized it didn't line up with the story we wanted to convey moving forward. So in the meantime as we rewrote the script, we conceptualized and shot the post credits scene for "The War is Lost" during the Spring of 2033
Which both teases and sets up the events for the next two films. Which now brings us to late 2023, where we now have a script the entire team feels confident in and can't wait to shoot.
Currently scouting locations you can expect us to be back on set January 2024, with production wrapping that same month. We want to sincerely thank all of our fans and all of our supporters for being patient with us as we do our best to make one of the best DC fan-films yet.
